How hard is it to get a stripping job at a gay club? I'm a very unconventional person: I don't want to go to college, and I need a job that will really help me out with money and I will enjoy, so stripping seems to be the answer. How hard is it to get a stripping job? I'm a gay, 17-year-old guy, btw. Are there auditions and/or a lot of people competing for the job? Or do they just hire as many people as they want? I'm just a bit lost! |
Well first you have to understand that you're still a minor. You won't be able to get a job in a strip club unless you provide fake documentation or wait until you're the correct age (usually 18). That aside....
It's not hard to get a job stripping. You may think that you need to fall into a certain set of looks to qualify but you don't. Depending on the area of the club and the demand that the club's patrons have... they may be looking for something in particular or just collecting a variety of talents and looks. In general, try to be in decent shape, take care of basic grooming and hygiene and just have a good attitude. Remember, you're there to sell the illusion that you're available and interested in your custys... do everything in your power to make yourself desirable!
Check out the clubs in the area you want to dance. (If you want to remain anonymous I suggest about a hour away) Visit them and make sure they're clean, drug free and that there is plenty of staff to protect the dancers. Once you've found a place you're interested in working at, give them a call and ask if they do on the spot hiring or they require a amateur night. Some want you to walk in the first few hours they're open, do a impromptu dance set and they make a decision based on that. Others want you to sign up for amateur nights, but you don't necessarily have to win to be offered a job. If you're going to try a set or do a contest, make sure that you are prepared. Take a few changes of clothes, hygiene needs, several forms of identification, aspirin, water bottle, nail clippers and razor. (the packing list is much simpler for men rather then women... unless you're doing drag of course...lmao)
GOOD LUCK! |
Gay stripping club in Ottawa/Canada? Any gay stripping club in Ottawa (not Swizzles). I want real stripping... |
| The place that use to be Fanny's (next to Atomic / On Tap) is a male strip club now (no idea what it is called). You might also try getting information from one of those stores on Bank St. There seems to be a place that sells gay pornography (at least that is what it looks like based on the signage) -- if anyone would know they would. |

Gay Strip club, what happens in a champagne room? I've been to a gay strip club, all male, and I've gotten a lap dance but what happens in a champagne room? |
Wait. There are gay strip clubs?! No one ever told me! My girls & I usually go to the straight strip clubs & get in for free. And the women just fawn all over us.
As far as the champange room? I don't know. We've had propositions for things without going to the champange room! |
What the wierdest thing that has happen to you in a gay strip clob? like for me its when my gay friend( ryan) told me to go with him and a guy ask me to dance and i told him i wasn't gay, and he said that "you don't have to be gay to dance" and i said " No thanks" and he told me that when i changed my mind to go to him for a dance...so if you have something better...write. |
| I've never nor plan on going to a gay strip club. I'm not gay. |
Have any of the gay guys on here ever gone to a gay strip club? I'm going to one next week for the first time and just wanted to know what to expect. |
It depends on the laws in your jurisdiction. Some allow g-strings, some allow touching, some allow nudity and any combination.
Expect that a dancer will approach you for a lap dance. Depending on the club, that could cost a simple tip of $1 or you might be expected to pay more. Private dances may be available, but often cost quite a bit more. |
Which is more torture, getting crucified or growing to old age with a son who stars in a Vegas gay strip show? The show of course, is Fabulous. |
Crucifixion.
With a smart-alecky six year old, I'm already used to him running and dancing around the house naked... |
Should I be worried that my boyfriend is stripping for gay guys? So we're in love with each other. We've been together for about a year and we are very open and non judgmental people, so we are VERY honesty with each other. He is finishing up college and was looking to make good, quick money. He got the idea of being a stripper and then after talking to someone about this they suggested he strip in gay clubs or for private parties for gay guys because that was where the money's at. He had his first strip experience at a gay club the other night. He said it felt really weird, but he made good money and he just tried not to think about what he was doing. He said he has thought about being with/kissing another guy because he's curious, but that he's so attracted to women, he's not sure he would ever act on it. Just to give you some background on his perspective on sexual orientation, he compares it to a spectrum. There are extremes on both ends (straight vs. gay) and a lot of people in between with tendencies towards both. I don't care about the labels. I just have a hard time being in love with a man who could be gay/bi. I personally haven't met any guys or have any guy friends (who are gay) who think that men could just have "sexual tendencies" towards men and be straight (or dominantly attracted to women). It seems that when a guy likes another guy, that is always the dominant sexual tendency.
Your thoughts are appreciated? (I hope I haven't offended anyone; this is just my personal preference)
Thank you. |
| You should start worrying when gay guys strip for your boyfriend and he likes it. |
